Overview
The service provisioning system is to realize automatic management of service process by means of effective management of workflows, with less manual intervention, so as to cater to telecommunications development. The service provisioning system is required to quickly process orders transferred from the CRM system, support processing of various orders through automatic dispatch and manual dispatch till the services are available, and feed back the processed result, implement end-to-end automatic service management and realize monitoring and management of full service and production processes. The system is helpful in enhancing the service processing capability of the service departments, production departments and management departments, in improving the quality and efficiency of customer services, in improving the self-management capability and decision-making level of telecom operators and finally improving their operation and service capability as a whole.
Functions
The service provisioning framework should contain five processes, namely, order management, service design, resource configuration, service configuration and service activation. The relationships between the processes are shown in the following diagram:

To support the processes in the integrated network provisioning, the service provisioning functions should include product management and service provisioning process management. And the service provisioning process management contains order management, service design, resource configuration, service configuration and service activation, process management, link management and work order management. The functional structure is shown in the following diagram:

-
Provisioning process management
There are functions of the basic layer and the application layer. The basic layer provides functions of link management, process management and work order management; the application layer provides functions of order management, service design, resource configuration, service configuration and service activation.
-
Interface platform
An interface with the integrated network, which activates components required for the services and makes them operate according to the procedure.
-
Report and query
A function is provided for flexible customization of reports.
-
System management
The system performs management on employees, employee rights and organizations and so on.
Superiority
-
User-defined service process The original sub-product management is integrated into the service provisioning system, so it is possible to define and implement automatic and manual tasks, service rules and end-to-end process through the original sub-product and the service binding relation in the product, and activate services according to the customers’ requirements specified in their orders.
-
Integrated SLA
The system realizes management of differentiated provisioning processes, provides definitions of time limit of two levels: customer order and work order, and provides time limit management and control for the whole provisioning process based on customer order.
-
Integrated product-oriented workflow engine
The system is structured on the mature workflow product and, on the basis of this, realizes unified interface dispatch and transaction processing. The system features great stability and scalability.
-
Diversified user interfaces
The system uses a standardized interface mode; it is based on the J2EE framework, and supports multiple connecting modes of WebService, database, FTP, SOCKET and so on.
-
Mature WEB development technology
The HTTP+XML technology is used for data interaction between the client and the server, making it possible that the client interface needs no refreshment, thus greatly improving the users’ feeling in using the B/S program. In the meantime, the client interface uses the HTC programming technology, allowing higher modular implementation of code development and higher speed of the system construction, and also giving the most effective guarantee for quick response in supporting subsequent maintenance.
