    Overview

    Because of new technologies and new competition environment, higher requirements on maintenance efficiency, maintenance level and maintenance cost have been put forward by telecommunications operators. Operation/maintenance has to become market-oriented and service-oriented from equipment-oriented and network-oriented. As a result, integrated and intensive maintenance is a must through management innovation and more advanced technologies. We will have to perform integrated and central maintenance of the local network; perform efficient configuration of various resources, such as equipment, man power and information, so that operation/maintenance management can be regular and standard; support to markets and services can be strengthened; a market-oriented production system with customers as the core and benefits as the objective can be established through professional rectification of networks.

    The emergence of electronic operation/maintenance provides a complete solution for telecommunications operators’ operation/maintenance system. Electronic operation/maintenance is to ensure that the operation/maintenance process should an automatic process with work orders and information in an electronic way, including operation/maintenance management, network operations, operation/maintenance knowledge/information management and daily operations.

    The electronic operation/maintenance system is capable of quickly transferring and feeding back management/control information, quickly locating faults and restoring services, so as to reinforce the support to marketing services and enhance the telecommunications operators’ service level and service quality.

    Technical Superiority

    • Unified software support platform
      The ZTEsoft provides the UOS platform developed by itself as a core application bearer platform of the eOMS system. The architecture of the UOS platform is based on the J2EE standard; the bottom layer of the UOS platform is composed of multiple strictly-tested components; the top layer is composed of products of a rule engine, a work stream engine, EAI, Portal and OLAP, providing support to different service systems.

    • Portal technology
      A pure Web front end is used, allowing flexible and convenient page integration, realizing single-point login, ensuring safe integration and converging multiple applications at random into a unified portal; contents seen by users of different authorities can be customized, and users enjoy different services and operate different applications through the unified platform.
    • Process customizing
      It is in compliance with the WfMC standard. The independent platform, loose coupling, extendable structure, openness and diversified user interfaces support multiple operating systems, multiple application servers and multiple databases.
    • Report form/application customizing
      Report forms/applications can be configured. If it is to be realized in the current process and report form data, it is only necessary to modify the related configuration data. If it is to add new services, the current process and report forms cannot meet the requirement, so news processes and report forms shall be customized. In the latter case, report forms and association of process applications can be customized by means of the form customizing tool.
    • Report customizing
      The system supports analysis-type report forms and realtime-type report forms, provides a unified report form presentation platform, and provides visual report form customizing tools.
    • Unified interface platform
      The system features a unified interface standard, which provides a standard information switching mode, supports multi-mode and multi-protocol access.
